Pigeon, Fish, or Fox, You Make The Choice Today!

Pigeon, Fish, or Fox, You Make The Choice Today!

For the ones who’ve always dreamed of taking flight on gray, feathered pigeon wings. For the folks who saw the end-credits scene in Finding Nemo and thought “I wish I could try crossing the street as a fish in a bag!” For everyone who’s just wanted to get a few friends together and play as a bunch of trash stealing foxes, today is your day! Today, Bossa Studios (Surgeon SimulatorI Am Bread) is giving players a chance to choose their next game in a challenge they’re calling “Bossa Presents“.

Here’s how this works: Starting at 11am EDT today (Wednesday), the three prototypes will be competing in a live relay race on Bossa’s Twitch channel. Once the race ends, all three prototype games will be available for download. Players are encouraged to try them all, then let Bossa know which one the majority wants to see developed into a full fledged release.

So what are these three games? The first is Pigeon Simulator, which… okay, Dear Reader, if you can’t figure out the subject matter of Pigeon Simulator, then this whole “vidja games” thing might be a little too difficult for you. You’re the reason why flight attendants have to explain how to buckle a seatbelt on every airplane ride, aren’t you? Anyway, for the rest of us, the subject matter of Pigeon Simulator should be pretty clear. Based on the prototype videos, it looks to be the highest fidelity pigeon flight simulator ever created. (Have there been any other Pigeon flight simulators? Ed.)

I Am Fish, meanwhile, takes a lot of cues from Bossa Studio’s previous I Am Bread effort. Can you get your goldfish across town and into the ocean? Or will the shortest red light you’ve ever seen be your undoing?

Trash Bandits takes an entirely different approach than the other two games in the competition. A 2-4 player cooperative game, the action looks a bit like the insanity of Totally Reliable Delivery Service, but with foxes. And trash!

What game will ultimately be causing broken controllers and Twitch profanity bans as a full fledged game? Only the audience can decide. We can’t wait to find out.
