Vampire: The Masquerade – Coteries of New York Gets Release Dates

Big news out of PDXCON 2019 over the weekend. The annual convention for all things published or developed by Paradox Interactive became the forum for announcing the release dates for the hotly anticipated Vampire: The Masquerade – Coteries of New York RPG. PC players can expect to dive back into The World of Darkness starting December 4th, while Nintendo Switch owners can look forward to a port landing sometime in the first quarter of 2020. Developer Draw Distance (formerly iFun4all S.A.) also announced that editions of V:tM – CoNY are being looked at for release on Microsoft Xbox One and Sony PlayStation®4 consoles.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Coteries of New York sets players in the middle of a power struggle between the traditionalist Camarilla and rebellious Anarchs across the iconic landscapes of New York City. Branching storylines and moral dilemmas inspired by Telltale Games’ narrative style ensure that the game will have solid replay value. Players can choose characters from several distinct Clans, each with their own unique powers, advantages, and disadvantages. Thanks to Paradox’s partnership with White Wolf, some of the stories players experience in V:tM – CoNY will be incorporated into the official Vampire: The Masquerade 5th Edition lore.

The dialog and art style is more static and story-like than Bloodlines, as befits CoNY’s intended focus.

The end of 2019 and 2020 is shaping up to be a good one for World of Darkness fans. After a long drought, (the last WoD game was Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines, prematurely released by Activision in 2004) gamers are going to get V:tM – CoNY at the end of the year, while the hotly anticipated Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is still on track for a multiplatform release sometime in 2020! PC, Mac, and Linux gamers will be able to find V:tM – CoNY on Steam, DRM-free on GoG.com, and in other digital stores (presumably Paradox’s own store and the Epic Games Store, although neither of those have been specifically announced).

Fans wishing to keep up with the absolute latest information on Vampire: The Masquerade – Coteries of New York should keep an eye on the game’s official website.
