Kalypso Media have been having quite the year, with the successful release of Tropico 6 on consoles, and the release of Sudden Strike 4: Complete Edition on consoles as well. Earlier this year, Kalypso Media announced the return of two classic titles in the forms of Commandos 2 – HD Remaster and Praetorians HD – Remaster. Now, both games have locked in a release date for both games. Here are the full details thanks to the Kalypso Media team!
On January 24th, Commandos 2 – HD Remaster and Praetorians HD – Remaster will launch on Windows PC’s, with the Mac, Linux, and consoles versions all launching later in the Spring of 2020. The news is exciting for any strategy and real-time strategy enthusiast, especially as there seems to be so little in the way of the genre today. Kalypso Media is further and sweetening the deal by announcing an additional Beta test for each game.
On December 13th, Kalypso Media is hosting open public Beta testing for both Praetorians HD – Remaster and Commandos 2 – HD Remaster. Each game will provide access to a variety of campaign missions, with revamped tutorials and HD visuals. Bug fixes will be provided to each Beta and feedback will go towards further enhancing each game for future release. Kalypso Media provided more information on each game.
In Commandos 2 – HD Remaster, take control of an elite group of Allied commandos who must venture deep into enemy territory and utilize their combined expertise to complete a series of notoriously demanding missions. In Praetorians – HD Remaster, lead the emerging Roman Empire by proving a legionnaire’s worth on the battlefields of Egypt, the combat theaters of Gaul and the heart of the Roman Empire in Italy, in a crusade to become Emperor. Combine units, master their varied skillsets and exploit the weaknesses of the enemy to emerge victorious.
