KINGDOM HEARTS III Re Mind DLC Announced

KINGDOM HEARTS III Re Mind DLC Announced

Earlier today, Square Enix announced a new DLC for Kingdom Hearts 3 during the PlayStation State of Play press conference. Although the Kingdom Hearts III news might not be the most exciting news coming out, the Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind DLC looks to change the narrative and keyblade wielders’ perspectives. Despite Resident Evil 3 HD dominating video game news, the Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind expansion will continue Sora’s story.

When you completed Kingdom Hearts III what did you think? Did you think, wait is that all? Did they really end the game with another cliff hanger? Where were all the Final Fantasy characters? What’s in the box? The ending to Kingdom Hearts III definitely left a sour taste in our mouth. That sour taste made writing our Kingdom Hearts III Review bittersweet. During the State of Play, Square Enix invited Keyblade wielders to dive back into the guardian of light’s journey with Sora and friends in the KINGDOM HEARTS III Re Mind DLC.

KINGDOM HEARTS III Re Mind DLC provides keyblade wielders with a new playable episode. The DLC follows Sora’s journey back to his friends and realm. Along the way, Sora will discover new truths that were previously unimaginable. Will Sora discover the secret behind Kingdom Hearts, will we see the turn of drive forms such as valor, wisdom, master, or final. The Re Mind DLC will feature new boss battles, a limit cut, secret episode, a new greeting mode, slideshow features and a new “Premium Menu” mode that includes diverse difficulty settings and gameplay challenges. The DLC will also include a story update, new abilities, and a new form for Sora along with the addition of Keyblades, “Oathkeeper” and “Oblivion”

Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind DLC welcomes back Aerith, Leon, and Yuffie. Honestly, where have they been throughout all of Kingdom Hearts 3? Sora will have to overcome the forces of Darkness while his friends seek to find him. In the trailer, we can see that the player will play as Xion, Kairi, Axel, Riku, Roxas, Ventus, and Aqua during different fights against the forces of darkness. Organization XIII might be a thorn in the side of light but may reveal what is in Pandora’s Box.

KINGDOM HEARTS III Re Mind DLC will be coming to the PlayStation 4on January 23, 2020, and Xbox One on February 25, 2020. Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind DLC will cost $29.99 or the KINGDOM HEARTS III Re Mind + Concert Video package will cost $39.99. The Concert video package includes the Re Mind DLC but also footage from the KINGDOM HEARTS – World of Tres – Orchestra concert recorded in Osaka, Japan on November 30th, 2019.

This DLC announcement has us excited to return to the world of Kingdom Hearts. Hopefully, this DLC will expand the SanFransokyo and Pirates of the Caribean levels of Kingdom Hearts III. The trailer gives us chills and gives us hope that the story of Kingdom Hearts III will be concluded properly.
