UK game developer CooCooSqueaky has released character profiles for the the stars of their upcoming turn-based strategy RPG Tears of Avia! The developers promise a versatile, immersive skill-tree system and a stunning story to accompany this anime-styled game. Players will be able to jump into the world of Estera later this summer on the PC via Steam and on Xbox One.
Tears Of Avia is a turn-based strategy and tactics game, set in the beautiful world of Estera.
Estera, a once proud and thriving world, is torn by war between the two large city-states; Tirig, the largest military in the land who praise the Gods, and the city state Helmgar, the Godless heretics to the north. Build your party and venture forth to discover the secrets behind ancient long abandoned cities; and decide where your own morality ultimately lies in this turn-based action strategy game.
In order to wreak the greatest havoc on your foes, you will want to combine skills and abilities between all five available classes. Check out each of them to get a sense of how you might want to control the battlefield in Tears of Avia.
Warrior
Dedicated to service and aspiring to be a paragon of knightly honor, Kai is unshakable in his ideals. Growing up in the metropolis Tirig, he idolized the city’s knights, both for their strength and for their nobility. Endeavoring to prove himself and become one of them, he joined the city guard and trained relentlessly. However, as his service continued, he grew disappointed with how lackluster and slothful many of his fellow city guards proved to be. Still, it is not to late to prove himself as a knight.
Ranger
When you spend most of your life in the wilderness, you learn to live pragmatically. Reina treats most everything with such prudence and realism, yet also applies a canny and swift intelligence to each task. Whether she is hunting game in the forest or dominating card games in town, Reina’s mind always keeps her ahead of her quarry.
Mage
Either Iris is a master of magic or she just thinks she is. This somewhat egotistical mage scours scours the continent for anything magical that may strengthen her. Granted, her impatience and proclivity to pyromania have made for a few bumps in the road…
Brawler
Raul’s youth was the picture of a dissatisfied life. He made his living as a day laborer for the wealthy and spent his nights picking fights in taverns while drinking and wooing women. Despite the adrenaline and primal joy of such simple activities, Raul now aches to use his strength for something more than knocking around drunkards.
Priest
Momoko is the poster child for religious life. She grew up under the tutulage of the priestesses who ran the orphanage she lived in. Taking to their lessons like a fish to water, she drank the kool-aid and now wants nothing more than to be a useful, compassionate, and selfless Priestess of Liathi.
