Gear.Club Unlimited 2 – Tracks Edition Exits the Secret Garage

Looking for some new racing action in semi-handheld form this August? Bummed out that most races are still being run with either no crowds, or severely reduced spectators? Microids and Eden Games are happy to announce a possible solution to the late summer racing doldrums with Gear.Club Unlimited 2 – Tracks Edition, which will be getting the green flag on August 25th.

Thanks to a partnership with the Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO), the world famous Le Mans circuit will be drivable in the game. With the game’s new Ford GT40 Mk I, players can re-enact their own version of the climactic finish of the 1968 24 Hours of Le Mans race which shocked the world (and was immortalized in the fantastic Ford vs. Ferrari film from 2019).

Better fine tune your pit strategy for that Gulf Oil livery GT40, or a Mercedes will eat your lunch!

Gear.Club Unlimited 2 – Tracks Edition is something of a “gold” version of the game, featuring all of the previously released Gear.Club Unlimited 2 content, including the Packs Arrows, Checker, Hazard and Wings, Gear.Club Classics, and Ace of the Road. Tracks Edition also features a brand new campaign, and five new tracks, including the previously mentioned Le Mans circuit.

Welcome to the famous Le Mans starting line!

The other major improvement in the Tracks Edition is a focus on the overall racing experience and strategy of long races. Players must now contend with pit stops, plan tire and fuel management strategies, and have a much more comprehensive race plan if they want to win in the new Endurance Challenge campaign. The thirteen cars previously present in in Gear.Club Unlimited 2 are all receiving new motorsport versions which accommodate the strategic upgrades. Tracks Edition also adds five endurance-focused new cars to the available roster: the Nissan GT-R LM Nismo, Porche 919 Hybrid, Mercedes AMG GT3, Bentley Continental GT3-R, and the classic Ford GT40, as already mentioned.

The game will be out in North America on August 25th, and in Europe on August 27th in Europe. The Gear.Club series continues to be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch.
