The entertaining and well-reviewed deck building tabletop game Hibernation can now be bought as a complete set! These additional pieces that are now part of the package make it easier for players to begin and enjoy Pied Raven Games’ goofy, bear-themed game!
The Game
Hibernation‘s players slip into bears’ skins right after waking from, you guessed it, hibernation. Finding themselves awake after a long winter’s nap, the bears also find themselves skinny and very hungry. In order to survive and, just as importantly get nice and fat for next winter, the players have to gather food. Food is always scarce, though, and they must fend off hostile bears and other competitors to get what they need. 
Each player’s deck starts out “bear” (sorry, couldn’t help it). However, they can collect cards that will help them forage for food as they play. To stockpile enough food, they must forage, fight, and even steal from each other. Whichever bear/player first manages to develop five beautiful, luxurious layers of fat wins!
Accolades
Hibernation was rated as a Showcase Game during the 2016 Boston Fig Fest and the 2018 Connecticut Festival of Indie Games. In 2018, the game returned to the Fig Fest and walked away carrying the Best Family Game title.

Pied Raven Games
PRG is a one-person studio run by Jesse Daniels. While working in advertising, graphic design, animation, and video editing, he scraped together what time he could find to create the foundations for his own company. As of November 2019, Pied Raven Games and the games it develops has become his full-time job.
Daniels and his work have featured in various podcasts, critical reviews, and videos. He recently closed a book deal and will be releasing The Game Crafting Handbook almost exactly a year from now (August 2021).
