The Falconeer PC Exclusive Beta Coming in October

Get ready for a different kind of open world flight game. The Falconeer is coming out later this year, but first there’s going to be a PC exclusive beta. Starting immediately, interested gamers can head over to the The Falconeer Discord channel and sign up for a chance to answer the question “What if the eagles from The Lord of the Rings were actually trained to dogfight with other giant birds?”

Just what is The Falconeer, anyway? Think of a classic air combat game such as the Ace Combat series. Substitute the various aircraft with giant, rideable birds. Add an open world environment with players battling lumbering steampunk style airships, flying beetles, aerial manta rays, and other Falconeers on their own flying mounts. The game sits within the world of The Great Ursee, a beautiful and dangerous world populated by various factions battling for dominance over the sea, the land, and the sky.

Sailing ships, open seas, haunting mountains, and lots of enemies.

The Falconeer is the brainchild of Tomas Sala, best known his exotic Skyrim mod series: “Moonpath to Elsweyr”. While the game draws inspiration from Steampunk, fantasy, and high technology settings, it seems to fall into no neat little genre. It’s rare to see a truly unique IP like this come along, and here at Marooners’ Rock, we can’t wait to get our hands on this game.

Air battle around an active volcano? What could possibly go wrong?

On its November launch, The Falconeer will be a day one Xbox Series X title. It will also be available on the Xbox One S, Xbox One X, and PCs. Players interested in checking out the PC exclusive beta should head to the official Discord channel at https://discord.gg/falconeer and follow the directions there to sign up. The game can also be wishlisted on Steam now at https://store.steampowered.com/app/1135260/The_Falconeer/.
