RWBY, one of the most celebrated US Animated titles will receive yet another game adaptation. Today Wayforward alongside Rooster Teeth and Arc System Works have announced a new RWBY videogame is in development. For those who are not aware of who Wayfoward and Arc System Works are let’s fill you in. Wayforward is the developer behind Shantae and the Seven Sirens and River City Girls. Arc System Works are the developers behind Guilty Gear: Strive and BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle. In this game, Rooster Teeth will develop an original RWBY story for the game, title to be determined.
First announced during Rooster Teeth’s virtual RTX at Home event, this upcoming game will have players takes control of RWBY. RWBY is comprised of Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna, and Yang Xiao Long. According to Rooster Teeth, the team will use their trademark weapons and abilities to deliver the stylish action that is expected from RWBY. For those unaware, there has previously been a RWBY Game, RWBY: Grimm Eclipse.
At the moment not much is known about the upcoming RWBY Game. We do know that WayForward will be behind development with Rooster Teeth providing creative insight. The next RWBY game is scheduled to be released on multiple platforms in 2021.
