WRC 9 Exits The Starting Gates Today

It’s time for another season of some of the most intense racing in the world. WRC 9 crosses the starting line today, taking players on a globe-trotting journey through some of the toughest race courses and conditions that any drivers can face.

New for WRC 9, players can experience three new rallies taking place in Japan, New Zealand, and Kenya. In response to popular demand, a new Clubs Mode also makes its first appearance, offering players the chance to create their own championships and race against friends or the community. The game also features a number of improvements to driving realism, vehicle behavior, and the career mode.

Developer KT Racing also released a roadmap of future free updates to the game. In October, WRC 9 owners can expect photo mode and six new stages for the Neste Rally Finland. November will see Co-Driver mode, six new stages for the Vodafone Rally de Portugal, and a new official concept car. The eSports WRC 2021 season is scheduled to begin in January 2021. Other DLC is also in the hopper, but without a specific launch date.

Out of the box, WRC 9 features over fifty official teams, with their liveries from the WRC, WRC 2, WRC 3, and Junior WRC circuits. Fifteen bonus cars which have left their marks on WRC history are available in special races. Multiplayer game modes include split screen, time attack, and actual multiplayer races.

Kenya get enough of this sideways dirt action? No!

WRC 9 is available today on PCs from the Epic Games Store. It will be available for the Sony PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Xbox One console families in North America on September 8th. Additional releases are planned for the Microsoft Xbox Series X, Sony PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. However, the launch dates for these platforms have not been announced yet.
