Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has truly proven to be the biggest entry in the series. Ultimate’s roster is currently sitting at 69, in addition to 7 downloadable characters. With Arm’s Min Min releasing this past June, many are eager for the next playable fighter. Fortunately, fans don’t have long to wait. Nintendo confirmed this morning on their official Twitter, that a new DLC fighter reveal would take place today, October 1st.
Series director Masahiro Sakurai has been trickling out reveals through short video presentations. Coming in at roughly 3 minutes in length, tomorrow’s reveal will be no different. Fans are eagerly predicting who they think the next fighter will be. Some of the most wanted characters include Devil May Cry’s Dante and Super Mario RPG’s Geno. I personally believe the next potential Smash Bros. fighter is going to be Crash Bandicoot. While yes, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time has no confirmed Nintendo Switch release, it drops on other platforms Friday, October 2nd. Today’s 3-minute reveal could not only be confirmation of Crash in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate but also reveal Crash Bandicoot 4 coming to Nintendo Switch.
While this is all currently speculation, tomorrow’s video presentation will reveal the truths. Tomorrow’s stream will begin at 7 AM PT, 10 AM ET. For more information on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, check out Nintendo’s official website. Today’s video presentation is linked down below, for easy access. Who would you like to as the next DLC fighter? Leave a comment!
Edit:
With today’s Smash Bros. Ultimate video presentations conclusion, fans of Minecraft got their wish. Minecraft’s own Steve is the next fighter. Along with Steve comes Alex, Enderman, and Zombie as alternate costumes. While this news came as a surprise, Steve’s inclusion has been long rumored.
