Strangers unite once more as NIS America gears up for the release of Stranger of Sword City Revisited. As players eagerly await the game’s March release, NIS America has taken the opportunity to post a new trailer onto Youtube, revealing new enhancements and features for the newest release of Stranger of Sword City.
The news comes from an official announcement from NIS America and a press release to accompany the trailer. Stranger of Sword City Revisited will be adding a bevy of new features to usher in its debut on Nintendo Switch. Sword City Revisited introduces three new classes to utilize in combat. The Clocker can manipulate time to the player’s advantage in combat. The Puppeteer uses the power of suggestion to gain control over enemy combatants. The Freeman uses shadow arts to provide support. In addition to new classes, Stranger of Sword City Revisited also adds a Guard counter and a Slay event. The guard counter can use defense as the best offense, ensuring a guaranteed KO to non-resistant enemies. Slay events allow for a massive blow to be inflicted upon larger enemies. if done correctly, the reward is a rare item. Finally, Stranger of Sword City Revisited features three new dungeons that reveal a new ending, and a host of new additions as well as improvements that improve upon the game’s original release.
Originally released in 2014, Stranger of Sword City is a DRPG set upon a mysterious island, where strange from various worlds and timelines have mysteriously arrived. Landing in an unknown world filled with monsters, strangers come to the aid of the latest traveler and bring the traveler to sword city. After choosing their race and class, the journey begins, discovering the true meaning of the land and unlocking the mysteries of this strange dimension. Players fight in various dungeons, utilizing physical and magical attacks to conquer dangerous foes. Following the success of Stranger of Sword City on PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and PC, the updated and improves version Stranger of Sword City Revisited, was released in 2016.
