PQUBE Indies is coming in hot for the first month of 2021, starting with their newly announced arena-shooter, Gravity Heroes. From Brazilian based Studica Solutions and Electric Monkey, this ambitious sci-fi action game pits players in the classic battle between man and machine in an effort to preserve peace throughout the universe. However, as the name implies, the goal is to focus on the center of gravity, namely yours.
The news comes via a press release from PQUBE Indies, which has delivered a strong portfolio of titles in 2020, from Intertia Drift to Warborn. Gravity Heroes is an action-sidescroller game that centers each stage within an arena. The goal is to fight synthetic and robotic enemies, which include hordes of machines and diabolical bosses that fill the screen. Through the story mode, players uncover the truth behind the robotic uprising. The bosses are challenging, but players can fight alongside their friends in classic couch co-op. The biggest draw to Gravity Heroes is the focus on a special weapon, designed to give humans the advantage in combat: The gravity shifter.
The gravity shifter allows players to manipulate gravity in the stage. Using the shifter, players fight upsidedown and sideways, gaining an advantage over enemies and flanking dangerous positions. The shifter changes the usually run’n’gun approach in most sidescrolling shooters and can be the key to defeating the most dangerous enemies in Gravity Heroes. After the campaign, a survivor mode and versus mode exists for players to blast each other in gravity shifting combat.
Gravity Heroes will launch on January 22nd for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, and be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X through backward compatibility. Gravity Heroes will launch on Steam on March 31st and can be wishlisted now.
