Ace Combat 7 continues to soar high. This month marks the second anniversary of the launch of Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown the epic aeronautical action game from Bandai Namco and Team Aces. To celebrate the anniversary, the team is releasing a series of skins for its online multiplayer, celebrating the legacy of the Ace Combat franchise, and the legacy that Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown has established since its release in 2019. The news comes from Team Aces and Bandai Namco through a press release, accompanied by a trailer on its YouTube Channel. The trailer unveils the multitude of aircraft skins and emblems for players to customize their aircraft with.
Most notably, several of the skins and emblems pay tribute to the earliest Ace Combat video games, such as the Pheonix skin, which features the emblem from the first Ace Combat game, Air Combat. The 25th Anniversary Nugget -Mobius 1 and the 25th Anniversary Nugget -Yellow 13 celebrate the legacies of the PlayStation 2 classics, Ace Combat 4: Shattered Skies and Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War. Lastly, the X-02S Glowing Skin is officially a skin for the X-02S aircraft, a fan favorite. The skins will be available for free through a free update, regardless of the platform. Accompanying this news is a tweet from the developers, confirming that Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown has successfully sold 2.5 million copies, making it the highest-selling entry in the entire Ace Combat franchise.
History Of AC7
Released in 2019, AC7: Skies Unknown is the seventh canonical installment and the 15th entry in the Ace Combat franchise. Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown is an arcade flight action game, putting players in the middle of a conflict that spans the entire continent. Players pilot a large list of real-world aircraft in large missions that spend the air, sea, and land. Players will fight hundreds of targets at once in intense aeronautical scenarios filled with enemies.
Drones, ace pilots, and mammoth flying fortresses are part of the ensemble of enemies to face. Accompanying a lengthy and rich single-player campaign is an online mode where players from all over the world can fight for bragging rights against other players. Finally, those with PlayStation VR can embark on an exclusive mission that uses the full ability of the VR headset, giving layers the closest immersion of flying a fighter jet.

続編が右肩下がりすると、IPにとって明るい未来を語ること、挑戦をする機会がが失われていきます。
そういう意味でブランドディレクターとして、やっと重責を全うし、少しの安堵です。

A Success
This is a remarkable success for Bandai Namco, Team Aces, and the entire fanbase of Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, many of which can fondly remember playing the original games on PlayStation 2. There simply isn’t any other game like Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown on the market, and seeing such a distinctive game is extremely rewarding and fulfilling. Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown could use more content, though. A post-campaign DLC story campaign was released, which was essentially the anime version of Tom Clancy’s The Hunt For Red October.
Other than that campaign, there has been only new skins released for the online multiplayer. A large co-op campaign with drop-in/drop-out co-op would be a fantastic addition to an otherwise stellar game. Here is to hoping the continued success of Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown leads to new releases on other platforms, including the Nintendo Switch, and perhaps an HD re-release of the original games.
Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown is available digitally and physically on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, as well as available digitally on Windows.
