Back in October of last year, Oddworld Inhabitants’ remaster, Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty, released on the Nintendo Switch. When we initially reviewed the Nintendo Switch port, we stated that it was a bit rough around the edges, but is still an enjoyable action-puzzle platformer. Other platform’s ports of New ‘n’ Tasty featured a paid downloadable level pack, Alf’s Escape. Switch players itching for more of Abe’s antics can rest easy. The Alf’s Escape DLC pack is available today on Nintendo Switch, for free!

The Tea Drinking Mudokon Returns!
When Oddworld Inhabitants were developing Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty, the team had many new concepts. As development continued, many of those ideas had to be put to the side, in order to focus on the main game. After completing New ‘n’ Tasty, the team was able to utilize these lost concepts and create a DLC pack. Alf’s Escape stars titular Modokon Abe. After realizing he left Alf, the hat-wearing Mudokon who appeared in Oddworld: Abe’s Exoddus, Abe returns to RuptureFarms in order to rescue him.
The Alf’s Escape DLC takes place in a completely different section of RuptureFarms, previously not accessible in the main game. Abe must travel to the deepest depths of RuptureFarms, in search of Alf’s “Soulstorm Brew” bar. As it is, Oddworld: New ‘N’ Tasty is already not a very easy game. Alf’s Escape intends to up that difficulty level, and give players a real challenge. This DLC pack features many all-new challenges and puzzles, which were tailored around guiding Alf to safety.
