The gift keeps on giving. Coming hot off the heels of its first Winter Showcase, indie developer and publisher Eastasiasoft have announced their second Winter Showcase. This showcase will display several new indie titles that will be launched in the coming weeks, ranging from satanic spaceship shooters to cyberpunk visual novels and anime babes shooting zombies.
The news comes from Eastasiasoft through a press release email. which was accompanied by the showcase trailer. The showcase follows in the similar footsteps of its predecessor, with a variety of niche indie games slated for launch and heading for launch. the trailer begins with the box puzzler, Bishoujo Battle Cyber Panic!, a puzzle sci-fi game that challenges the player to unveil illustrations of military-themed anime characters. Up next is Synergia, an ambitious sci-fi cyberpunk visual novel with a focus on crime and love in a dystopian state. A physical release of Synergia for the PlayStation Vita will be available for pre-order at a later date. The spaceship shooter Habroxia 2 was just recently launched on consoles and handhelds, including the PlayStation Vita, and continues to make waves in the gaming community for its fast-paced action. #SinucaAttack combines a pixelated platformer, with the sophistication of a Billard’s pool ball table. For the hedonist player, Hentai vs Evil tasks players with rescuing anime waifus from demons and monsters through the use of guns. Retrace: Memories of Death is a top-down horror experience where a trip to an ancient mansion turns into anything but a pleasant experience. From the makers of Project Starship X comes Void Gore a spaceship shooter about going to hell to shoot monsters and get money. Cave Bad is a follow-up to Pity Pit and has using their axe and Bomberman-style bombs to slay trolls and monsters.
Eastasiasoft has become an MVP’s in the gaming world, especially when it comes to physical releases, PlayStation Vita launches, and indie titles that break normal expectations. The past few months have seen the release of games such as Sense: A Cyberpunk Ghost Story, along with Project Starship X and Drunken Fist. The Company has seen its reputation and connection with players grow exponentially in the past few years, becoming a definitive place for those looking for unconventional indie titles as well as finding a community and relation between players and developers. What Eastasiasoft has in Store for the Spring, Summer, and Fall is anyone’s guess, but it will be exciting to see when those seasons arrive.
