In the Summer of 2020, Indie games Among Us and Fall Guys dominated gaming. These Indie gems, allowed the world to stay connected while apart and provide chaotic laughter when needed. As the year went on these two games dominated Twitch; fans and gamers around the globe tuned in to see if the imposter would get away with it or if “X” personality would get a crown. For weeks, streamer TimtheTatman fought to achieve his first crown. Later this year, Xbox players around the globe will have the opportunity to earn their first crown. Today, Xbox made a major announcement regarding Fall Guys.
Yes, you can already probably guess what is about to be discussed. Today, Xbox’s Twitter tweeted a GIF of a bean holding an Xbox One controller and saying, “Coming Summer 2021.” The post says, “you dropped this with a crown emoji. Fall Guys is landing on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One this summer.” In addition to Fall Guys coming to the Xbox family in the Summer of 2021, it has been revealed that it will also be coming to the Nintendo Switch.

Fall Guys Cross-Platform
With no official release date announced. We can expect that Fall Guys will be joining the Xbox Family and Nintendo Switch around August 4th. August 4th, marks the one-year anniversary of the game launching on PC and PS4; this most likely means Sony had a one-year exclusivity deal with Mediatonic and Devolver Digitial. With Fall Guys launching on other platforms, could we see cross-platform matches with it? At the moment, Fall Guys PS4 and PC matches remain separated. The launch of the game on both console platforms could mean that things are changing. Ultimately, only time will tell.
Are you excited that Fall Guys is coming to Xbox? Will you pick it up when it launches? WIll Microsoft make it a Games with Gold title? We will just have to wait and see.
