With the COVID19 pandemic extending out into 2021, it appears another big gaming anniversary is affected. Last year, Super Mario’s 35th celebration was incredibly limited. Mario themed booths would have headed the E3 stage floor. A proper Mario themed Nintendo Direct would have announced titles. Instead, Mario’s 35 year anniversary was a bit hampered. Thankfully The Pokémon Company and Post Malone have joined forces to bring a Pokemon Day 25th-Anniversary Concert.
The Pokémon Company International invites trainers around the world to celebrate Pokémon Day! Saturday, February 27th will feature a free virtual concert headlined by rap artist Post Malone! The live event will broadcast via the official Pokémon YouTube and Twitch channels as well as the Pokémon 25th anniversary website at 7 P.M. Eastern / 4 P.M. Pacific. Fans will want to stick around until the end of the concert to learn about more collaboration surprises to come! Leading up to the concert, various celebratory activations will be taking place across Pokémon GO, Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, and the animated series in celebration of Pokémon Day.
