Mario Day is a yearly celebration of everyone’s favorite ex-plumber. This annual “holiday” takes place on March 10th, hence it’s often spelled as MAR10 Day. Nintendo has officially acknowledged Mario Day dating back as early as 2016. This year’s Mario Day is special, as it also takes place during Mario’s 35th anniversary. This year, Nintendo is celebrating the mustached Italian with multiple in-game offers, and eShop sales!
Super Mario Bros. 35th Anniversary Sales
Four of Mario and friends’ Nintendo Switch adventures are 35% on the Nintendo Switch eShop. These Mario Day sales last from now until March 13th. The first game on sale is 2018’s Super Mario Party. Acting almost as a Mario Party reboot, this title offers many intuitive mini-games, based on the technology the Nintendo Switch has to offer. Next up is another title from 2018, Mario Tennis Aces. Aces was the awaited return to form for the series needed after 2015’s Ultra Smash flopped. 2019’s Super Mario Maker 2 is the next game on sale. The smash-hit sequel to the Wii U title offers players an easy way to create and share their own Mario levels. The last game on sale, Luigi’s Mansion 3, shines the spotlight on Mario’s little brother Luigi. The 3rd entry in the series is the largest title yet, featuring many collectibles and rooms to explore.
These four games are currently available online, and on on the Nintendo Switch eShop for $38.99 USD. In addition to the games mentioned, the official Nintendo Store is also offering 35% off Mario-themed apparel. This includes teeshirts, hats, hoodies, and more! These sales apply both online, and at the Nintendo NY Store.
