Over the last year, Pokemon Go trainers have been growing increasingly frustrated with the game’s community days. Since January of 2020, only two community days have been desirable to most trainers. In 2020, Pokemon Go trainers had the opportunity to catch Piplup, Rhyhorn, Abra, Seedot, Weedle, Gastly, Magikarp, Porygon, Electrabuzz, Magmar, and Charmander; this is the second time that Charmander has been available through community day. So far in 2021, trainers have had the opportunity to catch a shiny Machop, Roselia, and Fletchling. In January, Niantic enabled the shiny version of Snivy to be caught in Pokemon Go. Today, the Pokemon Go April community day has been announced.
On Sunday, April 11th, trainers will have the opportunity to catch their very own shiny Snivy. From 11 Am to 5 PM local time, Pokemon Go trainers will see an increased number of Snivys appearing in the wild. During the event, it will be easier to catch a shiny Snivy. Benefits During the Event
During the event, trainers can purchase two items to help with their April community day goals. For $0.99 or your price equivalent, you can purchase the Snivy Community Day ticket; the ticket will grant you access to the Special Research Story, Snivy in the Sunshine. This research task can grant you additional Snivy, Pokeballs, and potentially Mega Energy and Rare Candies. The second item available to purchase is the Community Day Box. The community day box is available for 1,280 PokéCoins and grants you 50 Ultra Balls, four Star Pieces, four Mossy Lure Modules, and an Elite Charged TM.
During the event, incense will last for three hours. Additionally, each Snivy caught will grant you 3x catch Stardust. By evolving Servine into Serperior during the event or two hours afterward, Serperior can learn a special move; the special move for Serperior is Frenzy Plant.
