EastAsiaSoft has had a tremendous track record in 2021, with multiple indie releases, new partnerships, and plenty of physical releases for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation Vita, and PS4. Continuing the trend set by their winter showcases, EastAsiaSoft has revealed a Summer showcases, covering ten titles and new announcements.
The news comes from EastAsiaSoft, the Summer showcase highlights a variety of titles, from twin-stick shooters to turn-based RPGS featuring incredibly attractive women warriors. Beginning the showcase is Crimson Spire, a dark adventure and investigative visual novel that will challenge players in uncovering dark secrets. Next is the Xbox One release of four-button fighter Omen of Sorrow a supernatural fighter with a variety of characters, set within a dark fantasy universe. Following its debut in the winter of 2020, Drunken Fist arrives for the PlayStation 5, bringing its distinct combination of inebriation and combat to a next-gen system. Macrotis: A Mother’s Journey brings emotional storytelling and platforming to the Nintendo Switch. Xuan Yuan Sword 7, an ambitious action RPG, brings Chinese lore and tremendous action to RPG enthusiasts. Paradox Error, now available on console, puts players into a corrupted video game, and encourages players to piece the truth together to discover the truth. Pretty Girls Klondike Bar is the conclusion of a partnership between developer ZOO and eastasiasoft, blending gorgeous casino girls with the classic card game, solitaire. Coming on June 23rd is Empire of Angels IV, a female-led strategy RPG that makes its debut for the first time in The West since 1993. Mina & Michi is a cute and family-friendly puzzler that encourages a more cozy adventure through the woods. Finally, Trigger Witch is a twin-stick fantasy action shooter from the makers of Reverie.

This Summer showcase is another extraordinarily strong offering from EastAsiaSoft. One of the most unique aspects of EastAsiaSoft is in its ability to fulfill physical order, but also to promote and release an eclectic array of titles, such s the ones above. This trend continues to resonate with players, encouraging players to experiment with different games and boutique offerings. The Community Manager, Joshua M French, has done a tremendous amount of interaction with players and communities, garnering a strong pulse for what players are looking for. Xuan Yuan Sword 7 and Empire of Angels IV mark particularly important releases for EastAsiaSoft, as they mark big releases from China.
What comes next with EastAsiaSoft is anyone’s guess, but it’s my sincere hope that the trend continues. There are plenty of games being made around the world, from studios in all corners of the globe. It is my hope that EastAsiaSoft continues to find such games and bring them for new audiences to enjoy.
