nDreams shows a ton of action with action-shooter, Fracked

The Summer is about to get ice cold for PSVR. As part of the Upload VR showcase, the team at nDreams revealed a new gameplay trailer for their up-and-coming action VR title, Fracked. Fracked is shaping to be the over-the-top action extravaganza for Summer 2021, and as the release inches close, so does the anticipation.

Following gameplay showing at the Upload VR Showcase. The trailer demonstrated action-packed gameplay from the ski sloping portion of the game. The trailer demonstrates Fracked‘s locomotion, with the player moving and aiming freely with no limitations. Fracked sports a cel-shaded graphic presentation, using the vibrant graphic novel-inspired details in the best ways possible. Shooting, explosions, and particle effects are all bombastic and thrilling. Following a thrilling chase down the ski slope, the trailer shows the player entering a facility, moving about metal platforms and hallways. Soon enough, the exotic interdimensional enemies appear. The player thinks fast, using one-handed machineguns to blow up containers and strike down aliens, which are reminiscent of the armored aliens from the sci-fi movie, Battleship. The three-and-a-half-minute trailer featured a good sample of what to expect when Fracked launches later this Summer of 2021.

Fracked is described as a no-holds-barred action extravaganza, that puts players in the driver’s seat of their own sci-fi action game. Once he frozen edges the Earth, an army of interdimensional enemies swoops in to do damage upon a remote installation. There is no explanation as to how or why, but players, need to stop the invasion and get out alive. Isolated on a remote arctic facility, players will ski down slopes, ascend mountains, and fight through the dizzying maze of science facilities and energy rigs to stop the aliens from achieving their goal.

PlayStation VR has been going pretty strong, despite not getting as much pres or publicity as of late. While the focus of PlayStation is currently on PlayStation 5 and its future, PSVR has been able to provide an incredible gameplay experience for those that own a PSVR unit. In 2021, games such as Yupitergrad and Doom 3: VR Edition have made strong strides in their implementation for the platform, providing remarkably strong gameplay experiences. PSVR is heading to PlayStation 5in the future, and despite the lack of major tentpole releases, PSVR is still going strong and now is shaping to be the best time to jump in.

Fracked arrives for PSVR SUmmer 2021, with an exact release date not yet determined.
