The absence of a WarioWare title on Nintendo Switch surprised many. Wario’s outlandish spinoff series has previously acted as a showcase for the innovative features of Nintendo’s latest. 2018’s 3DS title WarioWare Gold acted as a “best of” microgame package, offering very little new content. The WarioWare franchise hasn’t seen a truly innovational release in over 8 years, with Game & Wario being the last. Thankfully the Wario drought is over, with WarioWare: Get It Together! releasing this September!
