When it comes to episodic games, Telltale Games redefined the gaming industry with their strong narratives, beloved characters, and alternative endings. With the release of Telltale’s The Walking Dead. The Wolf Among Us, and Tales from the Borderlands. With the success of many Telltale Games, Square Enix took a chance by creating a strong female-driven narrative with Life is Strange. Now six years and three games later, Square Enix is set to release their latest installment in the Life is Strange Franchise. Life is Strange: True Colors is set to release on September 10th, 2021, and with it, a debuting Crowd Choice feature.
Life is Strange has always offered players a variety of choices to progress the story’s narrative; however, this marks the first time that a Life is Strange game will feature a crowd choice option. A crowd choice is not new to a multiple-choice narrative game but could make for a more interesting experience. Life is Strange: True Colors’ crowd choice feature has two modes.
The Twitch streamer has two crowd choice options, a poll feature or true democracy. The Crowd Choice feature can be activated by connecting your account to your Square Enix account. Once connected, go to the Live Stream menu under the game’s settings tab and activate crowd choice. Viewers who tune into a crowd choice game can participate by installing the twitch extension. Crowd choice will be enabled in Life is Strange: True Colors releases at 9 am PT / 5 pm BST / 6 pm CET on September 9 / 2 am AEST on September 10.
