PAX East To Return to In-person Events in 2022; Vaccination To Be Required

PAX East 2022

After a two-year hiatus. PAX East returns to live in-person events in 2022 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center from April 21st to the 24th. Much like other fan experiences such as Comic-Con at Home and DC FanDome, convention owners Reed Pop and Penny Arcade decided to forego a live event for Pax East 2021 instead of hosting an event virtually. However after a successful PAX West event in Seattle over Labor Day weekend, Pax East will feature even more Heath Requirements that will ensure everyone feels safe going back out into the world including a vaccination mandate something that will be required for all PAX events going forward at least for the foreseeable future. Badge prices are set to be revealed soon.

Live-in-person events have been touch and go since the beginning of the pandemic with many people being hesitant to journey to the convention centers even with vaccines being available. The cancellation of PAX South only compounded worries about the future of live events for the organizers. Thankfully with the aforementioned success of PAX West as well as the upcoming PAX Unplugged -which will be held from December 10 and December 12 and will feature frequent Critical Role guest Aabria Iyengar-, this could hopefully mean a return to normalcy for gamers and industry veterans alike who have relished these conventions over the years.

Are you excited about the return of an in-person PAX East? What are you most excited to play? Do you think Reed Pop and Penny Arcade are making the right decision? Let us know in the comments and stay tuned to Marooners Rock for more movie and Video Game news!

Four-day and single-day PAX East badge prices and availability will be announced soon. Three-day badges for PAX Unplugged 2021 are now on sale for $75, while individual Friday, Saturday, and Sunday badges will go for $35 each.
For badge purchasing, travel info, event schedules, FAQs, and more, check out the PAX Unplugged and PAX East websites, and follow PAX on TwitterFacebook, TwitchYouTube, and Instagram.
