PM Studios and Grave Rave Games made the announcement, along with the announcement of a physical release of the game. Squish, a new, pulsating party game. After a successful development cycle, which saw the game make quite the impression at PLAY NYC in 2021, Squish is slated for launch on PC and Nintendo Switch this coming Summer.
PM Studios and Grave Rave Games made the announcement, along with the announcement of a physical release of the game. Squish is a new party game, featuring lightning-fast local and online multiplayer fun. It is lit in the labyrinth of DJ Goo, and things are about to get crazy. Squish pits several players onto one of the multiple stages, with the ultimate goal to party hard, survive, and win. In Squish, players squish and avoid being squished. In a clever use of Tetriminos, players must use the pieces to either squish each other or survive long enough to be the last one standing. Squish has various gameplay types, with one being a play on Tetris and another being an all-out brawl using the shapes as weapons. Players gather power-up for offense and defense, giving players an edge in the heat of the dance. With a thumping soundtrack, brightly lit neon colors, and a host of suits to collect, Squish is great for the competitive and for families.
Features include
- Squish other players directly and try to survive until the end while partying on the sides, there are many ways to rave it up.
- Party all you want, but surviving a collapsing underground rave is tough!
- Squish is easy to learn, but hard to master!
- Whether using a mouse and keyboard or a controller, there are only a few controls to pick up before anyone can push blocks and dodge threats that come along.
- Mastering the controls and knowing exactly how to manipulate the terrain to survive, however, is another story.
For those interested in a physical copy, Squish is available for pre-order at the locations below. The physical copy will contain the game, plus stickers and a digital download voucher for the game’s soundtrack.
I played Squish at PLAY NYC In August of last year and had a wonderful time with the game. I was greatly engaged in the competitive styling of the game, as it constantly felt the difference between winning and losing was hitting the button at the right time. Visually, the colors popped off the screen and the soundtrack was thumping, but it was the gameplay that was incredibly strong and addictive. Our party laughed and cheered the whole way through, with some comeback victories and spectacular defeats. Winning new outfits was always a fun time also. There were times when families and kids stepped in to compete and they too had a good time. The controls and mechanics were easy to understand, making Squish excellent for all skill levels.
Squish will be available for PC via Steam for $9.99 with a 10% discount the first week. Nintendo Switch players can pick up a copy via the Nintendo eShop for $9.99 as well. You can keep an eye on the game by following the links below.
