The ruins hold secrets. Top Hat Studios has announced its non-linear action RPG has finally been released onto PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, as well as Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X/S. Originally released in 2019, Redo! is an immersive and gripping non-linear action RPG, where a young woman, who may be one of the very last humans on Earth, pushes herself to the limits to uncover the truth.
Top hat Studios released a launch trailer to celebrate the leap from Steam to console. The trailer showcases the gameplay and presentation of Redo!, which clearly goes deep into its portrayal of an abandoned dystopic future world. Quick glances will see the Castlevania inspirations, but Redo puts itself into a unique experience as players used rocket launchers, laser machine guns, and energy swords to fight back against the malevolent “bio machines.” The goal is to reach the Solar Cathedral, where a voice beckons to be seen and heard, one last time. Redo! was released in August of 2019, and holds a “Very Positive” ranking out of 106 reviews as of this posting.
Top Hat Games has been home to distinctive and thought-provoking games that encourage the player to think, while also providing an engrossing ad immersive experience, as well as featuring female protagonists that do not conform to the status quo. Sense: A Cyberpunk Ghost Story provides an old-fashioned but refreshingly unique take on side-scrolling horror. The enthralling visual novel, Synergia, shows a unique perspective of futuristic love when love is forbidden. Vengeful Heart is a quick but effective visual novel with fascinating characters in a futuristic world without water, all framed in a presentation greatly inspired by the visual novels of the PC-98 Engine from the early 90s.
Top Hat games is also a publisher that brings unique flavors of fun, such as Kawaii Deathu Desu, Project Arrhythmia, and the Doom-inspired The Citadel, a shooter I hope makes the leap to consoles one day. It’s good to see the New York City-based publisher bringing a different series of voices to gaming, and what comes next is sure to be exciting.
Redo! is now available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 for $9.99, with the game on sale now on steam for $4.99. The game is also available on Nintendo Switch for $8.49 and Microsoft Xbox Series X/S for $8.49.
