You can read comments from Adult Swim President Michael Owuleen below.
“It’s hard to overstate the impact of Rick and Morty. More than a hit show, it is truly a global phenomenon. As we prepare to launch this soon-to-be iconic season, we will be giving fans a unique way to be part of the fun – so keep your eyes peeled.”
Rick and Morty centers on scientific genius and multiversal madman Rick Sanchez as he and his grandson Morty traverse the multiverse encountering a myriad of quirky worlds and beings (sometimes via interdimensional television). Along the way, our titular characters occasionally grapple with what it means to grow up and learn to be better, both figuratively and sometimes literally.
Rick and Morty has become a perennial fan favorite; whether it’s the mere mention of McDonald’s Szechuan sauce or Back to the Future’s Christopher Lloyd playing Rick in live action. Fans appreciate a lot about this show beyond the humor as Rick Sanchez has become a dynamic character; his existential crisis about aging or turning himself into a pickle to avoid therapy, there’s always something clever to expect from this show. With the show’s renewal for 70 episodes a while ago, fans can expect a lot more hijinks in the years to come.
