Incoming freezing news, Minecraft Education and BBC Earth announced a partnership to bring Frozen Planet II to life inside the world of Minecraft. Frozen Planet II will include five all-new free worlds, in these worlds Minecraft players will be able to interact with all the different animals and landscapes which was featured in BBC Studios’ Natural History Brand’s iconic series.
For the first time ever, players will be given the chance to play Minecraft from the perspective of an animal including the penguin, bumblebee, and polar bear. Players can experience the frozen worlds as these animals or as a natural history film-making researcher on location tasked with documenting key animal behavior and other information for environmental research. The first world is available now; while the remaining worlds launch weekly.
I remember watching Frozen Planet II and all of the other series on BBC earth and I have to say it was an incredible educational journey. With Frozen Planet II coming to Minecraft, many Minecraft players will be able to have an interactive experience that will take them to explore many landscapes and meet so many different animals to learn more about them. This is a step forward to understanding more about our world and I am looking forward to reliving my journey again in the world of Minecraft. Have you watched Frozen Planet II? What is your favorite series from BBC earth?
