Halo Infinite Co-op and Forge Added in Latest Update

Halo Infinite Co-op

Great news, after waiting almost a year, two of the highly desired and promised features are finally out for Halo Infinite. That’s right, Halo Infinite has finally received the promised Halo Infinite Co-op feature and Forge game mode. When Halo Infinite was first released on December 8th, 2021, many players were disappointed to find out that the game would not launch with co-op. As 2022 went on, Halo fans started to lose faith that co-op would be added to the game. In September, it was announced that Splitscreen Co-op was canceled for the game angering many fans. Now, according to 343 Industries, Halo Infinite‘s winter update will be the largest one yet.

Forge

At the moment, Forge is currently in Beta but according to 343,

“Forge lets players create new multiplayer maps and game modes that can be shared with other players via the Community tab in the main menu,” 343 Industries said. “Within Forge, players can place and modify in-game objects, effects, and scripts to create a custom map.”

Forge will only feature Canvas Maps, not developer-made maps while in Beta; however, developer map support will be implemented in a future update. According to 343, Forge features,

“thousands of new objects, a new visual scripting engine, object scaling, lighting and audio tools, bot support, huge budget increases, file sharing capabilities, and much more to help you create and share your maps, modes, and prefabs.”

Despite Forge being in Beta, 343 stated,

“Forge is here to stay for good in Halo Infinite, all content will carry forwards and persist, and the mode will continue to see updates and support over time, evolving to add even more content to further inspire and empower creators.”

Does the late addition of Co-op for the campaign and Forge in Halo Infinite redeem 343? Will you try playing Co-op with a friend? Personally, I will be returning to it after putting it down last year.
