Amazon Games and Bandai Namco Online announced they are bringing the anime-inspired multiplayer online action role-playing game Blue Protocol to audiences in North America, Europe, South America, Australia, and New Zealand. The game is set to launch in the second half of 2023 with a closed beta earlier in the year, the game will be free-to-play for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
Blue Protocol is currently being co-developed by Bandai Namco Online Inc. and Bandai Namco Studios. The game takes players on a heroic journey through Regnas, a world teetering on the brink of destruction after millennia of conflict and technology overuse. During the game, players must unite and harness the mysterious light called Flux to defeat powerful foes. Players can fully customize their character, and choose from five unique classes at launch: the sturdy Blade Warden, the valiant Twin Striker, the versatile Keen Strider, the multifaceted Spell Weaver, or the damage-dealing Foe Breaker. Aided by Echoes, mystical summoned creatures with powerful attacks, players will unlock their memories and fight to save the world.
I took a break from MMO games and this is one game I am looking forward to checking out. The trailer shows the beautiful and colorful world of Regnas which I am looking forward to, on top the character design is beautifully well-drawn for an anime-style game. The animated combat reminds me of tales of arise, and that game was fantastic, I can’t wait to hear more things about this game with fully customizable characters and 5 unique classes to choose from. The multiplayer concept is one feature I am curious to check out and understand, from what I heard players work together to tackle quests, fight bosses, and massive online raids against towering monsters.
Amazon Games does well when it comes to their high-quality live service, we have seen it before for Lost Ark and New World. I can’t wait to play this game in 2023 both the closed beta and when it goes play for free, this is a game that will be on my watchlist.
