Past Mortal Shell
Released in 2020 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Mortal Shell is an action RPG in the vein of Dark Souls. On a rotting Earth, supernatural forces have taken form and substance. Players inhabit carious shells to vanquish the land of evil and darkness. Players are given access to a bevy of melee weapons, ranged weapons, and magic powers to expel foes. In 2021, Mortal Shell made its way to Steam and received a “Mostly Positive” score out of 3,659 user reviews. Mortal SHell also received enhanced editions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X respectively.
With Mortal: The Complete Edition, the circle is now complete for Mortal Shell. The game now finds itself available on all platforms for anyone and everyone to play on. This includes being “Steam Deck Verified” for Valve’s hot portable system, the Steam Deck. For those with a Steam Deck, Mortal Shell on Nintendo Switch may be a tough sell, but as the Steam Deck still costs a pretty penny to acquire, the release on Nintendo Switch is a certain welcome one for those looking to get their Souls-like fix.
