The original Famicom (Nintendo Entertainment System) is perhaps the most cloned console. Dating back to the early 1990s, bootleg Famicom devices, cheekily nicknamed Famiclones, began flooding the market. These devices initially began as direct imitations of popular gaming consoles; Such as the Famicom, N64, and PS1. Naturally, as technology advanced so did the Famiclones, resulting in bootleg gaming consoles in all shapes and sizes. A couple of months back, I stumbled upon a Five Below, where I discovered the Tech Solutions Classic Arcade Handheld Game System. With “400 Games” bolded on the front, and hand-drawn pictures of NES games on the back, I could immediately tell we had a Famiclone on our hands.
