Every single week, the Nintendo Switch eShop receives a ton of new releases. It’s not every day that Nintendo drops a new heavy-hitter first-party title. The Nintendo Download for May 11th, 2023 features over 40 new titles heading to Nintendo Switch, including the long-awaited next entry in The Legend of Zelda series. These are some of the games heading to the Nintendo eShop digital storefront this week.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
Since the Nintendo Switch’s launch in 2017, the console was graced with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. BOTW quickly became many fan’s favorite entry in the prolific franchise. Thankfully, the long-awaited sequel is almost here! Tears of the Kingdom is one of the rare occurrences in the Zelda series, where the game is a direct sequel. The story takes place years after the events of Breath of the Wild, taunting an all-new evil looming over Hyrule.
Arcade Archives TECMO KNIGHT
Each week, HAMSTER’s Arcade Archives line-up continues to faithfully port over classic arcade titles. This week’s title is none other than TECMO’s 1989 beat ’em up title Tecmo Knight. The game see’s our protagonist take on the demon beast Wild Fang. This tough-as-nails arcade hit has previously never left arcades.
Gekisou! Benza Race – Toilet Shooting Star
Nintendo has been killing it with their recent Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC courses. For those looking for a different type of racing game, Da-soft has you covered. Gekisou! Benza Race – Toilet Shooting Star sees players racing their opponents, all while riding on toilets. Complete with toilet customization, Toilet Shooting Star looks to br a truly one-of-a-kind experience.
