Armored Core VI Fires OF Rubicon

Over the last year, it has been interesting to follow Armored Core VI Fires OF Rubicon; now with less than 24 hours until the game’s launch, we look at the ACVI: Fires of Rubicon launch trailer. In addition to the launch trailer, we will also be looking at the review scores other places have given the game. Before we dive into the trailer, let’s look at the game’s official press release.

Game Details

“In ARMORED CORE VI FIRES OF RUBICON, players will pilot their mech in fast-paced, omni-directional battles, taking advantage of their mech’s mobility both on land and in the air. Pilots can also explore a breadth of playstyles and combat styles through various customization options, dramatically alerting play strategy, maneuverability and battle style. Players will also take down powerful enemy bosses through a wide variety of offensive and defensive tactics at close and long range.

A mysterious new substance called Coral was discovered on the remote planet, Rubicon 3. As an energy source, this substance was expected to dramatically advance humanity’s technological and communications capabilities. Instead, it caused a catastrophe that engulfed the planet and the surrounding stars in flames and storms, forming a Burning Star System.

Almost half a century later, Coral has resurfaced on Rubicon 3, a planet now contaminated and sealed off by the catastrophe. Extra-terrestrial corporations and resistance groups fight over control of the substance. ARMORED CORE VI FIRES OF RUBICON puts players in this desolate world, where they infiltrate the planet as an independent mercenary and find themselves in a struggle over the substance with rival corporations and rogue factions.”

Trailer Impressions & Press Release Breakdown

Based on the press release, it appears that players will have to choose which faction they want to side with while working as a mercenary on Rubicon 3. The environment will be a dangerous factor due to the combustible elements. In the Armored Core VI Fires OF Rubicon launch trailer, bullets are seen flying; what makes matters even more exciting is the return of the laser sword. The trailer shows a variety of beautiful landscapes with combat taking place on the ground and in the air. How will you design your mech to take on enemy forces and complete your missions? How will you take on these challenges and what side will you fight on?
