Bulletstorm VR Available on PlayStation VR2

It’s time to grab your junk and step right into the mess. The 2011 first-person shooter Bulletstorm, which got an HD Re-release in August 2019, now has a port to PlayStation VR2. No available, Bulletstorm VR takes the same foul-mouth first-person experience and puts the carnage directly into the hands of players, right down to the electric whip.

Bulletstorm Returns

Bulletstorm VR is based on the original 2011 game of the same name. Former black ops operative Greyson seeks revenge against his former commander General Serrano after a botched top-secret mission. A drunken pirate, Greyson comes upon General Serrano in his flagship and after a brief battle, both ships fall to the ruined resort planet of Stygia. Crash landed and inebriated, Gresyon and his crew battle enemy soldiers, bandits, and monsters in a balls-to-the-wall attempt at revenge and getting the frick off the planet. The PSVR 2 incarnation features the same great gameplay that made the original so well received, but the twist is in using the latest immersive technology afforded to players by PlayStation VR2. Players use the Energy LEash to whip and flip enemies, then subsequently pulverize them. The famous skill shots are back, encouraging players to get creative with their kills. The biggest draw is two exclusive levels with mercenary babe Trishka, singer her energy weapons in two new areas.

A Decade long storm

The original Bulletstorm is the definition of a game from another time. Foul-mouthed, unashamedly edgy, loud, Bulletstorm is a rip-roaring good time for those who wish to play it. It can be argued that it’s a kind of game that is sorely missed in this age of checking boxes and keeping things clean. The unique gritty sci-fi atmosphere and the overall humorous setting make for an excellent shooting experience that tests itself apart from the more serious shooters seen in today’s gaming landscape. The game has been itching for a sequel for the better part of a decade but is still revered by those who played the game. This new take in VR works with the game’s mechanics and setting, but it remains to be seen if this helps bring a sequel. The PlayStation VR 2 needs all the killer apps it can get. Hopefully, Bulletstorm VR2 is the beginning of them.
