When it comes to sports games, let alone wrestling games, the game’s soundtrack can make or break the experience. The music that you listen to while you are in between matches can hype you up to keep going or kill your momentum entirely. During the Smackdown vs Raw era of WWE games, the soundtrack would hype players up to keep playing. Since WWE switched from THQ Nordic to 2K, the game’s soundtracks have not been the same, failing to live up to its predecessor. With WWE 2K24 set to release at the beginning of March 2024, many speculated what songs might be in the game. This week, we learned that Post Malone would be the curator of the WWE 2K24 soundtrack.
Not only is Post Malone the Curator and executive producer of WWE 2K24‘s soundtrack but he is also set to be a post-launch playable character. Yes, that’s right, you can punch, kick, suplex, and even Tombstone Piledriver Post Malone in WWE 2K24. So far, it has been announced that Post Malone will be available for purchase in a post-launch DLC pack; most likely, Malone will be part of a celebrity DLC Pack.
WWE 2K24 Soundtrack
With a soundtrack making or breaking the overall game experience, did Post Malone choose an adequate soundtrack? Below are the 12 songs that Post Malone chose to be part of the WWE 2K24 soundtrack; don’t worry if you don’t like them, you can turn them off in the game’s Jukebox menu.
- Post Malone — Chemical
- Post Malone — Laugh It Off
- 100 gecs — Hand Crushed By A Mallet
- Busta Rhymes — Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See
- Colter Wall — Motorcycle
- Grimes — Genesis
- Militarie Gun — Do It Faster
- Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs — Big Rig
- Speed — Not That Nice
- Turnstile — Mystery
- Tyler Childers — House Fire
- Yeat — Bëttr 0ff
After listening through the 12 songs selected, I feel like they do not hit the mark. While I may not agree with the selection, the variety within can hit a wider audience than some other game soundtracks. Out of the twelve songs, only Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs — Big Rig and Speed – Not that Nice really felt like it would fit in a WWE game.
What do you think of WWE 2k24’s soundtrack? Are you looking forward to hitting Post Malone? Let us know!
