NIS America announced an upcoming all-new dark action RPG REYNATIS, coming Fall 2024 to Nintendo Switch, PS4 & PS5, and PC (Steam) With the game being Directed by TAKUMI, this atmospheric urban fantasy is set in a realistic recreation of Shibuya, Tokyo, where the ultimate clash between magic and order is about to unfold.
REYNATIS is an action RPG set in the painstakingly recreated streets of Shibuya, Tokyo. This is a world where fantasy meets reality, while the citizens of Shibuya fear magic and the power it holds. Forcing wizards to conceal their inhuman abilities or else they will face consequences. The battle on the streets of Shibuya has just begun.
Seeking freedom through strength, the wizard Marin heads to Shibuya, where he meets Sari, an officer of the MEA, an organization dedicated to keeping wizards under control. I got hyped from hearing this announcement and checking out the trailer and with Yoko Shimomura behind the music for Reynatis, makes me want to play it more. Her music from Kingdom Hearts still lights up my day, so I am curious to see what kind of music magic she will do in this dark RPG game. The fast-paced action RPG style makes me remember games like Final Fantasy XV which I spent countless hours in, I can’t wait to check this game out where we live in a modern world but there is still magic lingering all around us, and this is a power that needs to be hidden. This is the type of story that makes me play for long hours because I want to know how the world became like this in the first place while hiding my true power from MEA.
A Limited edition announcement for Reynatis will be coming later this year which I am probably going to pick up, but for now, NIS America gave us a glimpse of the deluxe edition, and it looks gorgeous, I bet you when we get the limited edition it will look even more better. Just look at the boxed art cover, it is so gorgeous.
