Over the last 40 years, WWE and the WWF have been a prominent cornerstone in Sports Entertainment. In two months, WWE will be celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Showcase of the Immortals, Wrestlemania. Wrestlemania 40 is set to take place in Philidelphia, Pennsylvania on April 6th and 7th. With less than two months to their grandest event, WWE has started to put the pieces in place for a potentially historic event. These pieces can ultimately become things of legend that will live on for generations to come. This week, it was revealed the 21 different matches that will be available in WWE 2K24‘s Showcase of the Immortals.
Before we dive into the 21 matches that will be in WWE 2K24‘s Showcase of the Immortals, let’s discuss some factors limiting the list. When we look at the list of matches in WWE 2K24‘s Showcase of the Immortals, some notable matches are missing. This is primarily due to those superstars wrestling for other companies. At the moment, WWE most likely cannot use Edge, Christian, The Hardys, The Big Show, Daniel Brian, Sting, Dean Ambrose, Chris Jericho, Ric Flair, Cesaro, Mark Henry, and even Paige due to being signed with AEW. Because of this, a ton of WWE WrestleMania moments are missing. On top of that, WWE may be staying clear of Chris Beniot and Brock Lesnar due to controversial matters.
With those two factors in mind, a ton of Wrestlemania moments can most likely not be featured in the WWE 2K24’s Showcase of the Immortals. So what matches make the cut? Sadly, when you look at these 21 matches, they only feature 29 WWE Superstars. At the moment, only 18 of the matches have been revealed. So what are the twenty-one matches?
