In 2022, the Canadian indie team Red Nexus Games released their Pachinko-inspired Roguelike, Peglin, to Steam Early Access. Two years later, the little turn-based RPG has garnered high praise for its addicting and rewarding gameplay. During today’s Nintendo’s Indie World presentation, Red Nexus Games shadow-dropped Peglin onto the Nintendo Switch eShop!
The dragons have been popping peglins and stealing all of your gold for as long as you can remember. Enough is enough. It’s time to venture through the woods, conquer the fortress, and delve into the heart of the dragon’s lair to take back what’s yours and teach those dragons a lesson.
Peglin takes the concept of Pachinko and transforms it into a truly unique role-playing adventure. Peglin’s battle system works like a game of the Popcap classic Peggle. Move the cursor to guide your orb, to clear out as many pegs as possible. The act of popping pegs deals damage to the oncoming enemies. The more pegs hit in succession, the stronger and more effective outgoing attacks will be. Players can find many collectible upgrades, which modify gameplay and increase the odds of survival. If defeated in battle, it’s game over!
Peglin is available now on the Nintendo Switch eShop for $19.99 USD. More information on Peglin and Red Nexus Games’ other projects can be found on their official website. Peglin is also available to purchase on Steam, Google Play, and the Apple App Store. For more news from today’s Nintendo Indie World showcase and Nintendo Direct, keep it locked to Marooners’ Rock!
