Tainted Pact Games has made quite a name within the horror community. From the developer’s first release Exsanguinate, to the most recent title Massacre At The Mirage, the studio continues to deliver high-quality scares! Tainted Pact once again teams up with publisher Assemble Entertainment to bring retro-inspired fear into 2025 with their latest release Flesh Made Fear.
A Love Letter To Retro Horror
Flesh Made Fear aims to redefine the horror genre while taking heavy influence from the likes of Resident Evil and Silent Hill. Players take on the role of either Jack or Natalie, Reaper Intervention Platoon (R.I.P) operatives on a mission to stop a nefarious rogue ex-CIA agent Victor Ripper. Ripper has turned an old abandoned town into his own personal apocalypse. His experimentation led to nightmare-inducing infected roaming the streets, with a taste for carnage.
The game aims to challenge players with intricate puzzles and intense combat. With its stylized lo-fi poly visuals, Flesh Made Fear is a love letter to retro horror games of the nineties. While visually similar to the PSX era, Flesh Made Fear also features tank controls coupled with the choice of fixed or dynamic camera angles.
Gameplay Features
- Fixed and Dynamic Camera Angles: Experience the tension of classic fixed angles with smooth modern rail transitions.
- Limited Saves: Collect items to save your progress strategically.
- Inventory Management: Choose carefully what to carry with limited inventory slots and safe room storage.
- Puzzle-Driven Narrative: Solve intricate puzzles that blend with the story to unlock hidden areas and secrets.
- Two Playable Characters: Each character’s unique stats and story arcs add replayability.
