Greetings Backloggers! An eventful PAX South kept me from completing anything, although it did convince me to move one game to the “Retired” list. However, this week I’m back to checking another SEGA classic off the list.
“Black. All important movies start with a black screen.” That’s the opening line from The Lego Batman Movie, that rolls even before any of the studio logos show up. It’s never an easy task building a movie spinoff around a side character from a previous movie or show, even when working from an established character. Greetings Backloggers! After a few weeks of old school console gaming pain, I needed a break. Something simple. Something that wouldn’t challenge my reflexes. Something cheerful and uplifting.
Cosplay is a huge part of every PAX event. Overwatch, League of Legends, Mario, Zelda, Deadpool, Kingdom Hearts, and too many others to list were all represented this year. It would be impossible to photograph everyone, but here a few of the passionate, amazing fans who make conventions like PAX so colorful.

Whether it be Kirk, Harrington, Raddus, Adama, or Janeway, there’s nearly always someone whose boots we’ve dreamed of stepping into and shouting “Fire Everything!” Dreadnought aims to give us those dreams.
I might have overdone the walking on Day One of the show. Putting eight and a half miles on my Reeboks while trying to recover from a plantar fasciitis injury suffered while running last fall was probably not one of my better ideas. Don’t feel too badly for me though, for I am still at PAX, and Day Two was still filled with some amazing highlights.
