2015’s first-person survival horror game Monstrum flipped the genre on its side. It mixed perma-death and procedurally generated level design with traditional first-person survival. Monstrum proved to be very successful for Team Junkfish. The devs have officially revealed that Monstrum’s multiplayer sequel Monstrum 2 will be entering Early Access on January 28th, 2021.
Space Otter Charlie is an upcoming “Zero-G Puzzle Platformer” from the newly formed studio, Wayward Distractions. The studio may be new, however, the developers each bring expertise from past successes. Back in 2019, Irish indie developer Terry Cavanagh released his roguelike deck-building game, Dicey Dungeons. Receiving an overall score of 80 on Metacritic, it released to generally favorable reviews. Terry has been very vocal regarding porting his creation over to other platforms.
