Review: Dragon Age: Origins Darkspawn Chronicles (X360)

Today BioWare released it’s recent installment to the Dragon Age franchise, downloadable content titled Darkspawn Chronicles. News broke about this a couple of weeks ago, but details were sparse. Finally getting my hands on it, I have mixed emotions. Months ago, the Return to Ostagar DLC was released, amid much hype and lots of drama. Unfortunately, it failed to deliver, and it flat out fail...[Read More]

Facebook Fan Page!

Finally a Facebook Fan Page has been created for World of Meh! I know it’s a little long overdue, but in all honesty we haven’t been doing much with the site. Since we are now giving it another go, why not create a Fan Page? We’ve said time and time again how we want to create a community, and this is just another step closer to that goal. So, if you have a Facebook, and if you l...[Read More]

All Better!

So last week I made a post about me being sick. I am happy to announce that whatever germs decided to inhabit my body last week have been eradicated, and I can actually breathe! I hate being sick, and I don’t know what happened, but I was down for almost all of last week. It happened at a bad time too since I had to worry about my daughters birthday party, which happened on Saturday. Fortuna...[Read More]

SEGA Free Stuff Friday

If you follow SEGA on Twitter, then you are likely aware of their weekly Free Stuff Friday giveaways.  I’ve been a fan of SEGA since I was a kid.  I have fond memories of my Genesis and my Dreamcast, and, to be fair, not so fond memories of the Saturn and SegaCD.  My Genesis will always have a special place in my heart, however, so no matter what they do to hurt me, I always return to SEGA i...[Read More]

Jo Koy Show

A couple of weeks ago, there was a large Twitter event at the Fresno Zoo, called Wild Fresno. The entire zoo was closed to the public, and only open for local Tweeters. At this event, the Fresno Beehive organized a Twitter based scavenger hunt, with prizes for those who completed it. I won a t-shirt and Lindsey won baseball tickets. With these prizes, we got to go to the Jo Koy show Saturday night...[Read More]

I’m Sick!

I hate being sick, I really do….so when I woke up yesterday morning with a sore throat, I simply assumed it was allergies. Plus, Chris informed me that I was snoring like a bear in my sleep. Two logical reasons for me to have a sore throat. Drinking hot tea didn’t get rid of it, and this morning when I woke up, it was worse. Thinking that maybe it could be my acid reflux, I got out of ...[Read More]

Adventures in Mad-Libbing

Hey there, fellow WOM Bats!  Welcome to another installment in the new World of Meh on-going Mad Lib series!  Yesterday, in the introductory Mad Libs post, Lindsey posted a couple of Mad Libs that I completed.  Now we’ll see just how twisted her own mind is! How about we start with the tale of legendary American Paul Revere?: Paul Revere was born in Boston, California, in 1735.  His father t...[Read More]

Mad Libs Fun!

Get ready for a new, regular feature to World of Meh! Mad Libs! Weeks ago, Chris and I bought a Mad Libs book at our local Borders. Why? Well, for starters it was on sale for $1.99, and the other reason is because we can. The Mad Libs were fun for us because we would do them in bed before going to sleep, and it also gave us a chance to just be incredibly silly. After we filled up the first book we...[Read More]

Street Fighter Fan Films

I love Street Fighter.  I may not love all things Street Fighter (I’m looking at you Jean Claude and Kristin Kreuk), but I love the concept of Street Fighter.  This week was a great week for fans of Street Fighter.  I feel like saying “Street Fighter” one more time: Street Fighter.  …Street Fighter. I said Street Fighter (8) seven times in that opening paragraph, and I̵...[Read More]

Free Comic Book Day

May is a wonderful month.  May 4th is the unofficial Star Wars Day (May the Fourth be with you!), May 5th is another unofficial Star Wars Day (Revenge of the Fifth!), May 25th is Towel Day (I’m a hoopy frood who really knows where his towel is!), and more!  What we’re here to talk about today, however, is Free Comic Book Day! The first Saturday in May is always set aside as the officia...[Read More]

Irredeemable

Well over a year ago, I posted about the then-upcoming new series from Mark Waid titled Irredeemable.  The series started in April of 2009, but I didn’t get a chance to pick it up until this past weekend.  What happened this past weekend?  Free Comic Book Day happened. While standing in line at Heroes here in Fresno, I started thinking to myself, “Hey, when we get in there, why not see...[Read More]

Don’t I look stupid

So, here we are yet again. Another day, another post, as the saying goes. “But wait,” I hear you say with disbelief evident in your voice, “yesterday you posted that the World of Meh was passed on, no more, ceased to be, expired and gone to meet his maker, stiff, bereft of life, resting in peace, pushing up the daisies, kicked the bucket, shuffled off his mortal coil, run down th...[Read More]
