Last night at Bethesda’s E3 press release, there were a lot of things shown off. Probably the most anticipated (mostly due to the teasing of a leak) was the announcement of a Skyrim remaster. Yes, the leak was true. We are heading back into Skyrim.
Battlefield 1, so far looks like a great way to add some variety to the sea of first person shooters adopting the more modern landscape. Going back to World War I opens up some crazy possibilities and judging by the recent footage, DICE is determined to make the most with the setting and the technology available. This combination literally creates the perfect storm, as dynamic weather and more ens...[Read More]
Two new images have surfaced early for a game that I had no idea of, ReCore. Created by Keiji Inafune’s Comcept Studios, yes the father of Megaman, with help from Microsoft Studios.
Fear: we were introduced to the mechanical group that would haunt us down in our nightmares, and presumably their origins. Panic: we were striped to our core, being hunted down by a single animatronic that would not stop. Dread: we brought our fears home, and created lasting theories about if the games were even real or not. Now, it is the time for the greatest of the four emotions presented: terr...[Read More]
Not sure if this is any surprise, but I am obsessed with Dark Souls 3 and have been ever since its release. I’ve always loved the series and was even hesitant to pick up the latest one. Upon doing so I’ve spiraled into the pits of starry eyed fans, all eager for anything Miyazaki has touched. As I am wont to do during these times, I have been pursuing video content and journalism on ev...[Read More]
We all remember our first time. NO, I’m not talking about that. Well. Sort of. I’m talking about our first romantic visual novel. I can more than likely tell you what you don’t remember. That’s that the visual novel was also a dungeon crawling RPG. I may be willing to put money down on that, to be honest. Enter Undead Darlings ~no cure for love~. Last year it started its trek on Kickstarter, but u...[Read More]
One of the more wild and hectic games I got my hands on at PAX was a simple party game from Those Awesome Guys with a simple name: Move or Die, a title that was released on Steam on January 21, 2016. Those Awesome Guys pride themselves in saying that this is the perfect party game conglomeration to end friendships. Each round is fast, each round changes, and each round there’s a possibility you m...[Read More]
Gaming doesn’t always have to be about the bang bang slice curse word explosions. Sometimes we just need some traditional gaming presented in cool ways. That’s where Prominence Poker comes in. The Closed Beta is getting in full swing and we have quite a few codes to hand out.
Modding and Fallout is like peanut butter and jelly, they go so well together, that’s its weird to think about one without the other. Modding has always been a chore on consoles. Usually, modders would have to alter their systems’ files, a risk that can result in bricking the console. Bethesda made things easier with their Creation Kit through the years and now its coming to Fallout 4,...[Read More]
I said goodbye to traditional television about four years ago, spending my time instead with games, books, comics, and Youtube. Youtube is a space with thousands of truly talented, creative people, especially in the gaming space. I love Youtube to the point that I create content on my own channel, inspired by those I’ve watched over the years. Over time, I came to regularly tune into channel...[Read More]
While it has been in the works for a bit, Sega is trying to make a name for themselves by bringing the classics to the modern era. The Mega Drive Classics Hub (which is more commonly known as the Genesis in America) seeks to put players in the bedroom of a kid obsessed with Sega. This will be a free experience available on Steam, which will legally grant access to just about every Mega Drive Rom o...[Read More]
Ark, a game about exploration, player interaction, and good old fashioned dinosaur wrangling. Since it’s early access debut on Steam, Ark has been on the mind of a lot of players of late, creating a fun environment for all sorts of shenanigans to take place. It had the water-cooler conversations that some of the biggest games of all time produced. Players have told me so many stories on thei...[Read More]
