Adr1ft Hands-On

It was time for another appointment at PAX, but this wasn’t anything ordinary. 505 games was shuttling me off-site to a movie theater somewhere in Boston. They were actually giving me the chance to sit back, grab a bucket of popcorn, and see something new. It was time to see Adr1ft in a way I have never seen a game before, on the big screen.

Hands-On with Dragon Fin Soup

Grimm Bros. is back with the highly anticipated game that is over three years in the making, Dragon Fin Soup. I’ve now played Dragon Fin Soup four times and there hasn’t been a single dragon, fin, or any soup to be seen. There is an angry, alcoholic fairy tale heroine named Red Robin, who aggressively makes her way through a tactical, fantasy world.

Hands On with Pit People

It’s that time again! The Behemoth hype train has rolled into the station.  In typical, but exciting fashion, I arrive and my appointment to play Game 4 is on an oversized arcade cabinet. Game 4 is the newest untitled game (Now titled Pit People) from The Behemoth and is a turn based strategy game on a hexagonal grid. The open world map uses a fog of war system(clouds) that moves around so that yo...[Read More]

Destiny: The Taken King E3 Impressions

It’s not perfect, not by a long shot, but it was something new in an environment filled with different shades o...[Read More]

PAX South 2015: Brawlhalla Hands-on Preview

When I walked by the booth there were groups of friends and random strangers yelling and talking trash to each other. I have to say it looked like a good time and I had to stop by. We were handed Xbox One controllers, given a quick run down then thrown into a two-minute, four player free-for-all. Brawlhalla is a 2D platform fighter with a great art style, solid mechanics and fast paced gameplay. E...[Read More]
