Among their slate of new games announced at 2017’s E3, Ubisoft introduced The Crew 2, sequel to 2015’s The Crew. Featuring a fully redesigned map of the United States, The Crew 2 builds on the experiences of the first game, while adding boats and aircraft to the mix of cars, motorcycles, and trucks.
It looks like VR might finally be finding its feet. Bethesda have committed to the platform by putting DOOM, Fallout 4, and even Skyrim into the virtual reality space. However, it’s not just game company giants looking to experiment with these new toys. Skydance Interactive is looking to put their players into the cockpit of a giant mech in their new game Archangel.
One of my favorite things from the past couple of years for E3 is going to the movie theater to watch the Sony press conference with my friends. We laughed, we clapped at likely inappropriate times, and we even made our own sound effects while the stream was having audio difficulties. The PlayStation Experience was a highlight of last year and this year was no different. To probably the confusion ...[Read More]
Sony’s press conference has just wrapped up, and we got our first glimpse of Insomniac’s upcoming game adaptation of Marvel’s beloved superhero. Spider-Man has always been my hero since I was a kid. I even remember playing the original game adaptation of the 2002 movie back on the PS2, and just playing it over and over again. Even remembering all the cheat codes by heart to unloc...[Read More]
A couple days ago, we got news that Arc System Works, the developers of Guilty Gear and BlazBlue, were working on a Dragon Ball Z game. Well, the footage has been revealed at Microsoft’s E3 press conference and it could be the fighting game fans have always wanted. Dragon Ball FighterZ looks to be a dream come true for fighting game enthusiasts and fans of the anime alike.
When it comes to the almost annual Assassin’s Creed franchise, I’ve always reserved my excitement. I thought the first game was a phenomenal idea and I even enjoyed Assassin’s Creed 2. However, I lost touch with these games shortly after trying out Brotherhood, finding most of them to be the same song and dance. For many players, this was the case as well. Ubisoft also lost a bun...[Read More]

Watching EA Play as the first E3 live event, I noticed something interesting. For a few years now, many major game development studios have received criticism on their lack of female representation. This includes EA themselves, as many were critical of Battlefield 1‘s lack thereof. Conversely, there were plenty of female leads and characters in the games being shown and even on stage.
While there was a lot of predictability to the EA event, there were a few genuine surprises. One of which is a project by the same mind behind Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, Josef Fares. A Way Out looks to take the co-operative mechanics learned from his prior project and adapted to a much larger experience. A Way Out actually can only be played with two players, either through split-screen or via ...[Read More]
Unlike the PSVita, Square Enix seemed to adore the PSP. Granted, it was immensely popular in Japan, even seeping into popular culture with its iconic design. During that golden age of Square Enix portability, a unique fighting game starring many characters from the Final Fantasy legacy was released. Finally, the newest title that has been in Japanese arcades for a while is getting localized as Dis...[Read More]
