I like Enya. She has a soothing, calming voice set over soothing, calming music. I picked up this admittedly odd musical choice from my father, who, since as far back as I can remember, has had Clannad and Enya tapes laying around the house.
As I mentioned before when doing the article about my top 10 favorite Deftones tracks, I adore The Smiths. From the smooth, angelic voice of Morrissey, to the guitar riffs of Johnny Marr.
We are over half way through our One Love for Chi Blogathon fundraiser, and while we haven’t been able to constantly post on here who the winners are, now seems like the perfect time.
A couple weeks back, Valve, a company who is well known for such huge hits such as Portal, Left for Dead 1 and 2 and innumerable incarnations of Half-life, released a new multi-player game, Alien Swarm.
There have been times in my life where I’ve thought about doing some Cosplay. I’ve never done it before, but if I ever did, I’d want to do it right. Too often I’ve seen pictures of girls wearing things they shouldn’t have, or men just doing it all wrong. With the ladies I’d want to be, first off I’d want to be in tip top shape, but I’d also put in th...[Read More]
Right now, in that title above, I’ve committed one of the worst crimes among the gaming community: I’m not a fangirl of Final Fantasy VII. Since the purpose of this Blogathon is to raise money for Chi Cheng, bassist for Deftones, it’s only fitting that a post be made about their music. The Deftones have been around for over 20 years. Starting in 1988, I was only 6, and while, sadly, I wouldn’t learn about them for many years to come, it was well worth the wait.
Up was a film that hit me hard in the gut.By far their most mature & emotional film. The highlight was the film’s “mini movie” in the beginning known as the Married Life montage. In it we follow young Carl growing old with his wife Ellie. There are no words. Just the beautiful score & a moving montage.
Wall-E. Pixar took us to ground level & beyond with A Bug’s Life. They took us to the depths of the ocean with Finding Nemo. And now we venture into space with one of the most loveable characters ever created.
