The waiting is finally over! After a Corona-virus related deadline slips, EVERSPACE 2 has officially hit its Early Access launch on Steam and GOG.com today. In conjunction with that launch, developer ROCKFISH Games has released a tasty batch of new screenshots and a new trailer video.
2015’s first-person survival horror game Monstrum flipped the genre on its side. It mixed perma-death and procedurally generated level design with traditional first-person survival. Monstrum proved to be very successful for Team Junkfish. The devs have officially revealed that Monstrum’s multiplayer sequel Monstrum 2 will be entering Early Access on January 28th, 2021.
The year 2020 wasn’t kind to a lot of things, game release schedules included. It seemed like nearly every big and not-so-big game suffered multiple delays as teams had to cope with wildly changing work conditions. EVERSPACE 2 was no exception, with their open beta slipping out of December and into a black hole with an unknown exit vector. However, that exit is a mystery no longer, with deve...[Read More]
Developed by Muse Games – the studio behind the award-winning Guns of Icarus Online – Embr is a fantastically fictional look at a world where the gig economy rules the roost and the general public now stand ready, phones in hand, to respond to your firefighting emergencies.
While I love some good Multiplayer games, one game I’ve been keeping an eye on is Embr from Muse Games. I even had the chance to see gameplay at PAX East 2020 this year. With that said, today is some great news and when I say that I mean Curve Digital is jumping in to have Ember on its roster of new games.
Video games, much like any art form, are susceptible to fads. Arena shooters, motion-controlled games, and rhythm/dance have all had their rise and fall. While the latter still has massive success in arcades, rhythm games have mostly been abandoned on the home market. Developer Vitamin Games aim to change that with a twist to the genre with their self-coined musical bullet-hell Project Arrhythmia.
Shadow of the Colossus is one of my all time greatest games out there. It may not be the top in reviews, it may not be for everyone, but to me, it is one of those games that hits me the hardest emotionally. The size of the world, the size of the creatures, the amazing soundtrack, the grim love story. I played it first back on the Playstation 2, then when I got my first Playstation 4, I played it o...[Read More]

We here at Marooners’ Rock happen to think the game looks very nice. For those of you wondering what the game is about, Parkasaurus challenges players to plan, design, and construct exhibits that maximize their Dinos’ happi...[Read More]
After a year-long run in Early Access focused on honing the game’s space-bound battles, Drakkar Dev and Green Man Gaming are proud to announce War Tech Fighters will launch in full on Steam on Wednesday 25th July, 2018.
Ready to cancel an apocalypse? Developer Lazurite Games and publisher Deck13 sure hope so, as they’ve announced their new bullet-hell roguelike shooter To Hell with Hell today in Franfurt, Germany. Players will slip into the high-heels of Natasia, a stripper on her way to work when all hell breaks loose – literally.
One of the other games that caught my eye at PAX East was Dungeon Stars, a new Roguelite (or is that Roguelike-like?) from indie developer and publisher Furnace Games and Riposte Games & Co.
When we last covered Trailmakers here on Marooners’ Rock, it was for the game’s initial rollout on Steam Early Access. With its subsequent inclusion in the Indie Megabooth’s 100 games at PAX East, I was able to get some hands-on time with the game and chat for a few minutes with a couple of the developers from Flashbulb Games.
