The Town of Light PAX East Impressions

Back at PAX East, I sat down with Italian developers, LKA, to play The Town of Light. Originally released on PC, this story driven title is set to be released on PS4 and Xbox One later this year. After sitting down and discussing the game with 3D Artist, Lorenzo Conticelli, I hesitate to call this “survival horror.” Calling this horror, in my opinion, disrespects what LKA is setting out to do with...[Read More]

Guns of Icarus Alliance: PAX East 2017 Hands-On Preview

Top hats, steam-powered gadgetry, airships, and clockwork. Steampunk is pretty popular with modern storytelling. From Sherlock Holmes to Batman, stories have been told in this rich setting for a long time now. Guns of Icarus Online is a new form of the old trope, now joined with the soon to be minted Guns of Icarus: Alliance.

Nintendo Switch Hands-On Impressions In Chicago

Adr1ft Hands-On

It was time for another appointment at PAX, but this wasn’t anything ordinary. 505 games was shuttling me off-site to a movie theater somewhere in Boston. They were actually giving me the chance to sit back, grab a bucket of popcorn, and see something new. It was time to see Adr1ft in a way I have never seen a game before, on the big screen.

Preview: Cloudbuilt (PC)

For some time I’ve been playing Cloudbuilt. What is Cloudbuilt, you ask? Cloudbuilt is Rising Star’s and Coilworks’ upcoming Steam green-lit title; a link is available at the end of the post. With Cloudbuilt releasing soon, we are here with a hands-on preview of the game. As for my first impressions of the game, I can say it was fun as hell, addicting, and great looking, along wi...[Read More]

WonderCon 2011: Green Lantern and Captain America Hands-On

One thing I love about the comic conventions these days is how they promote all sorts of upcoming things for our geeky little hearts. So, it was a great treat to get hands-on time with the console versions of the games based on two of this summer’s biggest comic book films.
